Lopez bent on audit, says ISO certification ‘not enough’
ENVIRONMENT Secretary Lopez is coming up with a new set of guidelines and standards to audit all operating mines in the country “because an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification is simply not enough. Audit of all existing mining operations, which is part of the process to weed out illegal and irresponsible miners in the country, to be completed by August this year.
